All that could be done, was done by loving father, mother, sisters, brothers and friends. She left a husband, a two-weeks old baby, father, mother, two sisters, three brothers and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. Dear people, let us not weep, she is not dead, but sleeping and we shall meet her again. She told her mother just before she died, for them not to grieve for she was going to rest. Let us look to the Lord in our hour of trouble. We hated to give her up, but God knew best. A cherished form from us has gone, A voice we loved is stilled. A place is vacant in our home That never can be filled. A LOVING COUSIN Mae Whatley is Mae McNalley, the daughter of Reubin and Isley McNalley of Little Creek. Mae's husband is Charles Vernon Whatley. Mae's baby's name is Helen Whatley, born December 1920. It is also interesting to note that the obituary stated that when she died she was 15 years, 7 months and 16 days of age which would have made her 14 years old when she married. The marriage license in Clerk of Courts Office in Jena, LaSalle Parish, LA, states her age is 17 and Charles is 23.
