NEWBURG, Herman

87, of Jena, died Monday, October 13, 1997 at the LaSalle General
Hospital of Jena.

   He was a salesman in the hardware industry, a member of Temple 
Baptist Church of Jena and a U.S. Army veteran.

   Graveside services held Wednasday, October 15, 1997 at Belah
Cemetery of Trout.

   Interment followed under the direction of Hixson Brothers
Funeral Home of Jena.

   Survivors include his wife, Irma Ree Newburg of Jena and a host 
of nieces and nephews.
