Norsworthy, 91, of Tullos, died Wednesday, December 3, 1997 at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania. He was a retired gauger/pumper in the oilfield industry and a member of Tullos First Baptist Church where he served a deacon. He was born January 2, 1906 in Sabine Parish. Services were held Thursday, December 4, at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Arnold Lee Norsworthy, James Brown and Lee Thomas officiating. Intrment followed in the Jena Cemetery under direction of Kinner and Stevens Inc. of Jena. He is survived by his wife, Carrie D. Norsworthy. Pallbearers were Doug Winberry, Bob Allbritton, Elvin Allbritton, Willard Martin, Gary Wilbanks, and Larry Edwards. (The Jena Times, Wednesday, December 10, 1997)
