Nugent, 94, of Georgetown, died Monday, January 26, 1998, at his residence. He was a retired sawmill worker and logger and a native of Pollock. He was a member of New Zion Pentecostal Church at Georgetown. Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, in New Zion Pentecostal Church with Revs. Doyle Stotman and Allen Hatten officiating. Interment followed in the Lincecum Cemtery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield of Winnfield. Survivors include five sons, Aubrey Nugent, John R. Nugent, and Rubin R. Nugent, all of Georgetown, Homer Alonza Nugent of Dry Prong and Lindell Nugent of Tyler, Texas; one daughter, Elva Olean Grice of Georgetown; one sister, Noda Bell Lincecum of Georgetown; 30 grandchildren and 52 great- grandchildren. Pallbearers were James Grice, Keith Wilkins, Matt Nugent, Billy Don Nugent Chris Nugent and Eric Nugent. (The Jena Times, Wednesday, February 4, 1998)
