Bertie Nowlin Of Tullos Dies Rites Monday

Mrs. Bertie Lee Nowlin, 80, of Tullos passed away at 11:00 p.m. on June 17,
1978 at the LaSalle General Hospital.

Funeral services were held on June 19th at the Tullos First Baptist Church
with Rev. Coda Salter and Henry Lees officiating. Burial followed in New Union
Cemetery with arrangements by Hixson Bros. Inc. of Jena.

Mrs. Nowlin is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Patsy Ruth Morris of Olla and
Mrs. Bertie Jean Hailey of Jena; three sons, Lester Ray Nowlin of Tullos, Jack
D. Nowlin of Georgetown and Dennis Morgan Nowlin of Baton Rouge; 16
grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.


Pallbearers were H. H. Russell, Buddy Nowlin, J. E. Hudnall, John Dunn, Ira
Ganey, Jr., and Raymond McBroom.
