Nugent, 80, of Olla, died at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 1990, at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. She was a homemaker and member of Pinehill Baptist Church of Urania. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 12, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Arvie Jolly and Ed Smith, officiating. Burial followed in the Taylor's Chapel Cemetery near Summerville under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include two daughters, Earline Chapman of Plano, Texas and LaRue Gilliam of Olla; one son, E.W. Nugent of Ola; one brother, George T. Hutson of Jena; two sisters, Velma Smith of Ferriday and Maxine Blair of Many; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lawrence Smith, Randy Nugent, Ed Pritchard, Jerry Chapman, Eddie Day and Ricky Nugent.
