MRS.  NEAL, 71, DIES; FUNERAL HELD TUESDAY

     Funeral services for Mrs.  Eddie Elsie Neal, 71, a resident at Golden
Age Nursing Home were held December 21, at 2 p.m. at East Jena Baptist
Church with Rev. Mickey Bounds and Rev. Fox Paul officiating.  Burial was at
Pleasant Hill cemetery with arrangements by Kinner and Stevens, Inc.

     Survivors include one daughter, Mrs.  Lola Plumlee of Quinlain, Texas;
two sons, Rev. Russell Neal of Archibald, and Grady C.  Neal of Kenner; one
sister, Mrs. Grace White of Jena; six grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
