JAMES NATHANIEL NEAL LAID TO REST SUNDAY, JULY 20
Funeral services for James Nathaniel Neal, age 67 were held at Pleasant Hill 
Baptist Church, Sunday, July 20, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. J.D. Thornhill, Rev. 
Larry Walker, and Rev. W. E.  Croom conducting the services. Interment was in 
Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Neal died Thursday, July 17, 1952. at a hospital in Pineville.  He had 
been confined to the hospital six days at the time of death.

The deceased lived on Star Route, Jena, La.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. 
Rose Neal, two sons, Troy of Jena, and Allen Neal in the U.S. Army in Alaska; 
two daughters, Leona Neal, and Mrs. Agnes Henderson, both of Jena; six 
brothers, Luther of Jena, Willie and George of DeRidder, Joe and John, both 
of Jonesville, and T.S. Neal, Shreveport.  Also 11 grandchildren and one 
great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were: Fred Beeson, Louie Neal, T.E. Edwards, F. A. Wilson, Claude 
Wainwright, and Quitman Watley.  Hixon Bro. Funeral Home handled all 
arrangements.
