Marie Callender "Recus" Adams, 70, of Olla, died Monday, August 21, 2000,
at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria following an extended
illness.
A homemaker, she was born June 26, 1930, at Urania to the union of Everett
Henry and Sarah Alice Cross Callender.
Services are held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the Standard Baptist
Church near Olla with the Revs. Jerry Sanders and Scotty McDowell
officiating.

Interment followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery of Urania under direction of
Riser Funeral Home of Olla.
Survivors include four daughters, Toby Sellers of Olla, Sandra Kay Foley
of Jasper, Texas, Tina M. Butler of Tulsa, Okla,. and Mary "Kim" Belbey of
Clovis, New Mexico; two sons, Marshall O. Adams and Louis Adams, both of
Olla; three brothers, Huey Callender, Houston Callender, and Alphers
Callender, all of Urania; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John King, Chad Heisler, Roger Dale Adams, Michael
Statham, Jason Statham; and Richard Stewart.
