Sub-Headline: Holt M. Allen

Holt M. Allen, 78, of Jena, died at 9 p.m., Saturday, August 28, 1999, at 
Golden Age Nursing Center in Jena.

He was a Certified Public Accountant and a veteran of the United States Air 
Force, serving during World War II.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 2, at Temple Baptist Church 
of Jena with the Revs. Jimmy Keene and Carl Doughty officiating.

Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery of Manifest under direction of 
Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.

He is survived by one nephew, James Robert Allen of Auburn Hill, Michigan.

Pallbearers were Glen Humphries, Dennis Warwick, Turner Sanders, Virgil 
Terral, Bill Appleby and John R. Davis with other area veterans serving as 
honorary pallbearers.
