Brooks Dies Of Heart Ailment On Wednesday, Jan. 18 Mrs. H.S. Brooks, 46, of Jena, died on Wednesday, Jan. 18, in a Pineville hospital. Her death was attributed to a heart ailment from which she had suffered for several years. Mrs. Brooks, who before her marriage was Miss Brady Garrison, was born in Mississippi on April 13, 1904. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Jena, and of the O.E.S. Funeral arrangement ill be handled by Kinner and Stevens funeral home, Jena, and the funeral will be held at the First Baptist church in jena with the Rev. J.P. Owens officiating. The date and hour of the funeral was not set when the paper went to pres this week. Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband, H.S. Brooks; five daughters, Mrs. Laverne Madewell, Coushatta; Dorothy Brooks, Jena; Mrs. Lucille Walker, New Mexico; Judy Brooks, Jena; and Mrs. Bobbie Childres, Texas. Three sons, H.S. Brooks, Jr., Mississippi; Lianda Brooks, Indiana; and Dickie Brooks, Jena.
