Interment followed in the Olla Cemetery. Mr Butler had been an invalid for two years and his death was due to paralysis. He is survived by his wife and one son, A. J. Butler, of Columbia and two brothers, Dr T. M. Butler of Trout and Jessie Butler, of Riverton. The members of the Masonic fraternity, of Columbia, officiated at the grave and Kenner and Stevens, Jena undertakers, had charge of the funeral arrangements.
