A. Boddie, of this city. Young Boddie, a former student in the Jena High School and beloved by all of the younger set of Jena, was conveyed to a Shreveport hospital over a week ago suffering with acute appendicitis. Pneumonia set in after the operation and his death came at 11 o'clock Wednesday night. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. The body was interred in the Nolly Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Kinner & Stevens, local undertakers. Rev. D. F. Anders, his pastor, officiated at the church services and at the grave. Surviving the deceased are his father and mother, three sisters, Mrs. Howard Robertson, Marjorie and Cleo Boddie; two brothers, L. C. and Allen Boddie and a score of other relatives.
