Funeral services were conducted Friday at 2 pm in the Wallace Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Chandler officiating. Burial followed in Heard Cemetery near Manifest under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bertie Bass of Jonesville; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Evans of Orange, Texas, Mrs. Idell Lucas and Mrs. Hallie Davis, both of Jonesville; three sons, C. S. Bass of Vidalia, Warren Bass of Jonesville and Thomas B. Bass of Orange, Texas; four brothers, Bennie Bass and Albert Bass of Olla, Richard Bass of Pollock and Malloy Bass of Jonesville; three sisters, Mrs. Blanchie Richmond of Epps, Mrs. Queene Bass and Mrs. Cannie McCaskill, both of Jonesville; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
