C. Brown, Sr. H. C. Brown, Sr., 72, of Vidalia, died Thursday, December 2, 1999, at his residence. He was born March 2, 1927, in Jena to the union of Furman and Mary Paul Brown. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Vidalia and a veteran of the U. S. Army having serviced during World War II. He was retired from T. L. James and Company after 32 years of services. He was a Citizens Band Radio enthusiast known as "Little one." Services were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, from First Assembly of God Church of Vidalia, with Brothers Albert Fraley and John Collard officiating. Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial park in Natchez under direction of Laird Funeral Home of Natchez. Survivors include his wife, Marie W. Brown of Vidalia; three daughters, Myrtis Dantzler of Ferriday, Barbara Hughes of Vidalia, and Diann Quaranta of New Orleans; two sons, H. C. Brown, Jr., of New Orleans, and Kenneth Brown of Ferriday; one sister, Faye Smith of Jena; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Elders and Deacons of First Assembly of God Church in Vidalia. Honorary pallbearers included all grandsons and M. L. Miller.
