Headline:  Area Deaths

Hazel Marie Barker, 59, of Olla, died at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 
2000, in Hardtner Medical Center in Urania.

She was a homemaker.

Services were held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10 in the chapel of Hixson 
Brothers Funeral Home in Jena with the Revs. Joey Paul and Jeff Sandifer 
officiating.

Interment followed in the Belah Cemetery of Trout under direction of Hixson 
Brothers, Inc., of Jena.

Survivors include two daughters, Stacey Townsend of Urania and Debra Chapman 
of Houston, Texas; one son, Jerry Chapman of Logansport; her mother Emma 
Barker of Jena; one sister, Nina Belgard of Jena; one brother, James Barker 
of Trout, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Barker, David Barker, Vivan Chapman, Joey Chapman, 
Benny Fussell and Danny Wayne Stephens.
