Headline:  Area Deaths

Bessie Inez Bennett, 93, of Jena, died at 5:30 p.m., Monday, January 17, 
2000, in LaSalle General hospital of Jena.

She was a homemaker.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 22 in the chapel of Hixson 
Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with the Rev. S. B. Spinks officiating.

Interment followed in the Woodland Cemetery of Jena under direction of Hixson 
Brothers, Inc., of Jena.

Survivors include one sister, Myrtle Phillips of El Cajon, California; three 
nieces and one nephew.

Pallbearers were Marty McClure, Chance McClure, Ronnie G. Kendrick, Donnie 
Kendrick, John R. Fleming, and Steve Andrews.
