W. Bonds of Lodi, Calif., was buried Sunday afternoon at Jena following services held at the Nolley Memorial Methodist Church at 2:30 o'clock. The revs. W. O. Lynch, J. P. Owens, O. W. Spinks, and D. B. Boddie conducted the final rites, with interment following in the Nolley Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. The body was shipped by air from California to Dallas, Texas, and arrived in Alexandria by rail where it was transported to Jena by funeral coach. The baby, who died at French Camp Hospital in California on Wednesday, Oct. 9, is survived by the parents and one sister, Pamela K. Bonds, all of Lodi, Calif.; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Oma Evans of Jena; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Drewett of Jena, and the maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. T. J. Drewett of Jena. Graveside rites were conducted by the Rev. Lynch, with Clarence Harrison and John Evans serving as pallbearers.
