The Revs. Elbert Jones and James Miller conducted the final rites, with interment following in a cemetery at Libuse under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, F. E. Brown; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Howard of Monroe; two sons, A. V. Thomas of Jonesboro and Earl Thomas of Deville; two stepsons, H. C. Brown of Sicily Island and Emmit Brown of Jena; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Faye Hopkins of Jena, a brother, Jeff Huffman of Jena; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
