Book, 58, is Buried on Aug. 16 Marion Morgan Book, 58, a lifelong resident of New Era, who died Thursday at Ruston, was buried Friday afternoon at the Plase Cemetery near Book, following services held at the Central Baptist Church of Larto. The Rev. W. N. Carlin conducted the final rites, with interment under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Serving as pallbearers were six nephews, J. W. Book, W. A. Book, Wilbert Book, Charles Book, Jr., Tilton Book, and T. J. Book. The deceased, a farmer by occupation, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Kendall of Shreveport, and Mrs. Clarice Arkland of Athens, La.; one son, Orvil Book of Gretna; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Hooter of Book, and Mrs. E. R. Sanders of Enterprise, and seven brothers, J. A. and C. B. Book, both of New Era; W. C. and E. B. Book of Book; A. A. and L. R. Book of Jonesville and J. L. Book of New Orleans; and five grandchildren.
