Bass Dies, Services Held Mrs. W. T. (Rose) Bass of Tullos died Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. in a Jena nursing home. Mrs. Bass was 90 years old. Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Tullos with the Revs. E. D. Dearmon and W. A. Massey officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery near Tullos under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Kirby Russell of Kelly; four sons, Carey C. Bass of Tullos, the Rev. Hardie B. Bass of Jena, Albert W. Bass of Bay City, Texas, and John Quincy Bass of Baton Rouge; one brother, Hardy Tullos of Tioga; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Doulphet and Mrs. Fannie Delaney, both of Alexandria; 10 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were C. C. Bass, Jr., W. E. Russell, Ezra Russell, Johnny Bass, Marshall Gates, Lensford Bass, Fred M. Delaney, and Ray Weems.
