Blake, 94, former president of the Olla State Bank and Olla mayor for several terms, who passed away Thursday in an Alexandria hospital, were held at the Olla Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Friday. Interment was in the Olla Cemetery. Survivors of the deceased are his wife, Mrs. Mattie Blake, one daughter, Mrs. Maud Alexander of Jackson, Miss.; three sons, Dr. B. C. Blake of LeCompte, J. H. Blake of Alexandria, and Bill Blake of Olla; ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers at the funeral were W. E. Blake, W. H. Blake, J. B. Blake, J. D. Blake, Lt. R. E. Blake, Frank Walding, Jimmy Kelly and V. H. Floyd. A graveside service was held by Oliver Lodge No. 303, F. and A. M. with Ray Miller, worshipful master, Rosco Steen, senior warden; Norman Thompson, junior deacon, Bennie Williams, chaplain; and Andy Crick and Cliff Stewart, stewards.
