Horace Bennett Dies as Result of Fist Fight Sub-Headline: Spectacular Figure of Tullos Boom Injured at New Texas Boom Town Longview, Texas, Aug. 21. - O. Horace Bennett, 52, died here today, it is said as the result of a fist fight with J. Paul Flannery, an oil operator, last Wednesday, when Bennett is said to have been hit and knocked against a marble stairway, fracturing his skull. Flannery is at liberty under bond. The trouble is said to have arisen over a commission on an oil deal. Bennett was a prominent figure in the Tullos oil boom and during activities there won the name of "Boss of Tullos."
