He was a retired right-of-way agent for the Louisiana department of Highways, a member of the American legion Disabled Veterans and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World Was II and the Korean Conflict. He was born at Jena on Dec. 11, 1916, to the union of Walter Monroe and Maude James Bradford. Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 6, at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. John Johns officiating. Interment followed in the Woodland Cemetery of Jena under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc., of Jena. Survivors include his wife Della "Dinky" Bradford of Jena; one son Terry Monroe Bradford of Jena; five sisters, Mary Etta Germany of Jonesville, Bonnie B. Smith of Holloway, Jesse F. Smith of Slaughter, Kathleen Smith of Pineville and Lillie Mae Breithaupt of Jena; two brothers, H.R. Bradford and Charles L. Bradford, both of Jena; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bo Smith, Penny Smith, James Smith, John P. Thompson, Donny Richardson, and Ron Smoot. Memorials may be made to either the Nolley Methodist Youth, P.O.
