Headline:  Nebo Resident Buried Thursday, March 4

James Randal Brian, age 54, died at the Baptist Hospital, Alexandria, La., 
Wednesday, March 3, at 5:00 p.m. Although he had been in ill health for 
several months, his death came as a shock to the many friends and relatives 
of the Nebo community where had been a life long resident.

The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Roena Brian, four sons, Harvey, 
Alonzo, Randall, and Carrol of Nebo, and one daughter Mrs. Clara Pritchard of 
Jonesville.  He also leaves to mourn his passing his aged father, Harvey I. 
Brian, three brothers, Iley, Teddie, and Eugene; a sister, Mrs. Rosa Adams 
all of Nebo and Mrs. Mary Coon, a sister of Jena, La.

The funeral service was conducted by Rev. O. G. Cannon and Rev. Arthur Smith, 
at three p.m., March 4 at the Cross Roads Baptist Church.  Interment followed 
in the Tidwell Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home, 
Jena, La.
