He was a resident of Gorum. Funeral services were held in Gorum Catholic Church at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial followed in the Gorum Cemetery under direction of John Kramer and Son Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Basco; six sons, William, Joseph E., Charlie D., John J., James H., and Gary Basco, all of Flatwoods; a daughter, Elda Mae Gorum of Flatwoods; seven brothers, Ambrose Basco of Delhi, Norris Basco of Jena, Hymie Basco of Temple, William O. Basco of Flatwoods, Ezie Basco, and Louis and Joe Basco, all of Gorum; a sisters, Zillie B. Lacase of Natchitoches and one grandchild.
