Breland, 38, of Pineville died, apparently of carbon monoxide poisoning, in his pickup truck near White Sulphur Springs at 12:05 a.m. Saturday. He was a plumber and a veteran of World War II. Breland's truck was found out of gas with the ignition on about 8 a.m. Saturday. His body was in the truck. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Hardy Beaubouef officiating. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery of Nebo under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Lou Breland; one daughter, Janice of Pineville; four sons, Thomas, Rodney, Jerry and Joseph, all of Pineville; two brothers, Herman and George Breland, Jr., both of Nebo; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Kelly and Mrs. Virginia Lambeth, both of Nebo; a half sister, Mrs. Corrine Crawford of Nebo; and his parents, Mrs. Donnie Breland and George T. Breland, Sr.
