Headline:  Final Rites Held for Mrs. Susie S. Boyd, Sister of Jena Men

Funeral services for Mrs. Susie Smith Boyd, 73, who died Monday in a Jena 
hospital were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove Church near 
Jonesville.  Rev. Bill Lawrence officiated.

Interment, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Ferriday, followed 
in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Her survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Agnes Doughty, Mrs. Edna Ryan, and 
Mrs. Irene Doughty, all of Jonesville; Mrs. Gladys Montpelier, Quaid; Mrs. 
Ora Whittington, Harrisonburg; Mrs. Audie Jones, Trout; five sons, Earl, 
John, George, all of Jena; Lee, Winnsboro, and Henry Boyd, Jonesville; a 
total of 150 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Oliver 
and Butler Smith, Jena; and Ben Smith, Harrisonburg; two sisters, Mrs. Mary 
Swayze, Jonesville; and Mrs. Sallie McMillan, Manifest.
