He was a retired machine operator for International Paper Company, a veteran of the U. S. Army and member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Jena. Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Pentecostal Church of Jena with Revs. Crawford Coon and Gove Walker, officiating. Burial followed at the Pine Grove Cemetery of near Rhinehart, under direction of Hixson brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marguerite Breithaupt of Jena; two sons, Walter Breithaupt, both of Jena; one daughters, Sharon Causey of Jena; three brothers, Raymond Breithaupt and Truman Breithaupt, both of Jena, and Roy Breithaupt of Harrisonburg; 8 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Royce McCartney, David Breithaupt, Larry Breithaupt, Sherwood Breithaupt, Marlon Causey and Charles Mills.
