Richard Erwin Buckhalter, 59, of Walker, and a native of Jena, died at 4 
a.m., Wednesday, September 13, 2000, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical 
Center in Baton Rouge.  

He was a manager with J&C Machine Works in Walker.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 15, at Seale Funeral Home in 
Denham Springs with Rev. Mark Crosby officiating.

Interment followed in the Evergreen Memorial park.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Crawford Buckhalter; his mother, Mary 
Buckhalter; one daughter, Stacie Buckhalter; two sons, Randall Buckhalter and 
Michael Buckhalter, four brothers, John Buckhalter, Bill Buckhalter, Skip 
Buckhalter and Ladd Buckhalter; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and 
nephews.

Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4919 Jamestown Ave., 
Baton Rouge, LA 70808.
