Georgia Brooks, 92, of Baton Rouge and formerly of Olla, died Sunday, August 
20, 2000, at the Weldon Retirement Center in Baton Rouge.

She was a retired nurse who served the LaSalle Parish area for over 50 years 
as a registered nurse.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug.  22, at the Olla United 
Methodist Church in Olla.

Interment followed in the Olla Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home 
of Olla.

Survivors include one son, Bob Brooks of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Martha 
Ann Cornett; one sister, Florine McCain; and six grandchildren and six 
great-grandchildren.
