M. Brown died suddenly in San Fernando, Trinidad, on February 21, 1941. Burial taken place there on February 22nd, 1941. Mr. Brown graduated from Monterey High School in 1911, in the second class to graduate from that school. He served in the U. S. Army during the First World War and was located at Camp Sheridan, Alabama, while in training. From 1918 to 1925, he was located in Tampico, Mexico. He was then transferred to Maracaibo, Venezuela, where he remained until 1937. Since that time he has been located in Corocos, Columbia, and Trinidad in the British West Indies. Mr. Brown was 47 years old. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. L. M. Brown of Jena, Louisiana; three brothers, E. R. Brown and T. M. Brown of Jena, and J. D. Brown of Winnsboro; one sister, Mrs. H. L. Sandel of Houston, Texas, and one niece, Mary Ruth Sandel of Houston, Texas. The Times with a host of others extend sympathy in their loss.
