Nov. 10, 1932, Thursday

Granville E. Clark Died Sudenly Last Tuesday at 3 P.M.

Granville E. Clark, about 65 years of age, died suddenly about 3 p.m. Tuesday
at his home, one mile east of Jena. Death was caused by heart trouble, it is
said. He had been a resident of this section for a number of years.

Funeral services were held at Pine Grove Wednesday afternoon, with interment
in Pine Grove cemetery. Details of the funeral were not available at press
time.

The deceased is survived by one sister, Mrs. Miller, of Shreveport and one
brother, Mortimer Clark, of Harrisonburg.

Funeral Services Held for Granville E. Clark

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 9, for MR. Granville Eldridge
Clark, who died suddenly Tuesday afternoon, November 8. Mr. Clark was a native
of this parish, having been born here February 14, 1864. He joined the Pine
Grove Baptist church in his early life and lived a christian until death. He
married Miss Mary Priscilla Smith, July 20, 1897. To this union six children
were born. He has been a true and faithful servant of God, and leaves a host
of friends and relatives who mourn his passing.

Surviving him are his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Lillie Bradford and Mrs. Lena
Crooks, of Rhinehart; two sons, Buatt Clark and Fred Clark, of Jena; one
sister, Mrs. Jena Miller of Shreveport; one brother, M. Clark, of Wallace
Ridge and 17 grandchildren.
