The body was brought to Jena by the Bailey Undertaking establishment of Palestine, who arrived in Jena Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, and remained until after the funeral services Sunday afternoon. Floral offerings sent to the residence, church, and grave bespoke the high esteem in which Mrs Coon was held by her host of friends. During here life, Mrs Coon ahd requested that "Never Grow Old," "Jesus, Lover of My Soul," and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" be sung when the last rites were pronounced over her body. This request was complied with at the funeral services. "Never Grow Old" was sung as a duet by Miss Ethlee Neill and Mr Dewey Bradford.
