Price Injured, Rapides Man Dies in Shooting Affray C. A. Carruth of near Glenmora, died Tuesday morning as a result of a shooting affray between Carruth and Fount Price of Jena. Price was also seriously injured and is confined to the Baptist Hospital in Alexandria. Price was shot several times, one bullet going through the lung. Latest reports from Price is to the effect that he is doing as nicely as could be expected. Price was engaged as range rider in the Glenmora section where cattle dipping was being conducted. He had been in that section for the past several months. Carruth was prominently connected in Rapides Parish, having been born and reared in that section. He was a farmer and stockman and resided about three miles south of Glenmora. Mr. Price is a native of this section and is well known throughout the country. The Jena Times has been unable to learn how the shooting occurred or just what led up to the trouble between the two men as conflicting reports have been received.
