O. Cannon, brother of H. W. Cannon of Jena, died at his home in Many Sunday from injuries received in an accident a week previous to his death. Mr. Cannon was an oil field worker and on Sunday, March 8, while placing a beam on a derrick he was struck in some manner causing him to fall. He suffered a fractured skull and other head injuries in the fall. Spinal meningitis developed causing his death. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Cannon and son, Harold Walter, attended the funeral in Many, returning Monday. Deceased is survived by his wife and a 13 year old son; his father, T. H. Cannon of Pleasant Hill; a brother, H. W. Cannon of Jena; and three sisters, Mrs. W. R. Breard of Monroe and Mrs. R. M. Skinner and Mrs. C. L. Brown of Shreveport.
