Cupples of Olla Succumbs Louis Galen Cupples, 20, of Olla, died Wednesday night, April 4, at 10:25 pm in the Jena Hospital after an illness of several months. Funeral services were held last Friday, April 6, at 2 pm in the Olla Methodist Church with the Rev. W. H. Carroll, the Rev. A. G. Taylor and the Rev. Dan Blake officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Cupples, Sr., of Olla; three brothers, J. T. Cupples, Jr., of Omaha, Neb., Charles Cupples of Jena, and Vance Cupples of Marshall, Texas; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. L. W. Jones of Olla. Pallbearers were Charles Milton McCartney, Gene Jones, Ralph Gossard, Thad Putnam, Jerry Ingram, Henry Kennison, Benny Neal, and Woody Cupples.
