Headline:  Boney Crooks Dies at Chase Saturday, Buried on Monday

Local friends will regret to learn of the untimely death of Boney Crooks, 
aged 35, years, who passed away at his home in Chase, Franklin Parish, 
Saturday night of last week, after a lingering illness of several months.

Mr. Crooks, who was a nephew of J. G. Crooks, of Zenoria, and a son of 
Gilbert Crooks, also of Chase; had resided in Chase for about two years.  He 
formerly resided on Little River in LaSalle Parish and has many relatives and 
friends in this section.

He leaves four sisters, three brothers, his father and mother, his wife and 
five children to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held at his home in Chase Monday afternoon, interment 
following in the Chase Cemetery; Rev. E. W. Corley conducting the services.
