Mr. Crooks, who was a nephew of J. G. Crooks, of Zenoria, and a son of Gilbert Crooks, also of Chase; had resided in Chase for about two years. He formerly resided on Little River in LaSalle Parish and has many relatives and friends in this section. He leaves four sisters, three brothers, his father and mother, his wife and five children to mourn his passing. Funeral services were held at his home in Chase Monday afternoon, interment following in the Chase Cemetery; Rev. E. W. Corley conducting the services.
