Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 3 at 2:30 p.m. at the Antioch Free Methodist Church with the Revs. V. T. Bradford, C. B. Renfrow, Perry Kent and Andrew Taylor officiating. Burial was in Wilbanks Cemetery near Summerville under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Chloa Manchester of Ferriday, Mrs. Cleo Tarver of Harrisonburg, Mrs. Dollye Andrews, Mrs. Miram Arnold and Mrs. Aline Sanders, all of Jena, Mrs. Una Stanhope of Texhoma, Okla., and Mrs. Evelee Arnold of Hooker, Okla.; two sons, Nathan Chapman of Houston, Texas, and O. A. Chapman of Jena; three brothers, John Sills and Millard Sills, both of Clarks, and Moses Sills of Olla; five sisters, Mrs. Lillie Whiddon and Mrs. Homer Floyd, both of Jena, Mrs. Charlie Kerlin of Paradise, Mrs. Thelma Simons and Mrs. Dottie Smith of Olla, 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Donald Manchester, Ronald Manchester, Jerry Bailey, Ben Dan Arnold, David Arnold, and Bill Latham. (NOTE: Her name, Malissa Armanda, is spelt as spelled in the obituary.)
