Curtis Dies; Had Relatives Here Funeral services were held Monday, March 14 at 10 a.m. for Houston Emanuel Curtis of the Fish community near Oak Grove, who died unexpectedly at Mer Rouge. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. E. J. Groves and the Rev. William Moden, under the direction of Kidder-Cox Funeral Home, at the Green Chapel Church of God. Burial was at the New Forest Cemetery. Survivors include five sons, Leon Curtis of Freeport, Texas, Carl Dean Curtis of Oak Grove, Jack H. Curtis of West Monroe, Mack A. Curtis of Addis and Colon Kelly Curtis of the U. S. Army stationed in Viet Nam; six daughters, Mrs. Mammie Lee Shuff of Sillsbee, Texas, Mrs. Dorothy Jean Edmonds of Rosewell, N. M., Mrs. Mary Lynn Woodruff of New Iberia, Mrs. Hazel June Walsh of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Myrtis Mae Clem of Rancho Cordova, Calif., and Miss Judy Ann Curtis of Oak Grove; one sister, Mrs. Mollie Layman of Shreveport; two half-sisters, Mrs. Claude Tullos of Crossett, Ark., and Mrs. Delmar Russell of Winnsboro; three half-brothers, Oliver Windham of Jena; Leland Windham of Shreveport and Marrus Windham of Marshall, Texas; and stepfather, W. A. Windham of Jena.
