Cassidy, prominent lawyer of that section, was killed last Saturday afternoon in an automobile wreck. Mr. Cassidy was well known in LaSalle having at this time a suite before the local court in which C. B. Meyers and wife are suing the Gulf Public Service Company for the death of their son at the local light plant last year. Attorney S. R. Holstein, of Jena, was associated with Mr. Cassidy in the local court. Funeral services were held Monday at Brookhaven and advices state that the procession was one of the largest ever seen in the state of Mississippi.
