Daniel Day Called by Death at Gilbert, La. On the evening of Feb 21, at the St. Francis Sanitarium in Monroe, Rev. David Day, of Gilbert, La., passed to his eternal reward. He leaves to mourn a companion, three sons, two daughters, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted in the M. E. Church at Gilbert. The following officiating; Revs. R. L. Cook, of the Baptist church; Morris of the M. E. Church, and C. M. Smith, of the F. M. church. Brother Day will be greatly missed by the people of Gilbert, where he had many friends as was shown by the beautiful floral tributes. Interment was made in the Oakla Cemetery under direction of Lowery Undertakers of Winnsboro. Reporter. NOTE: name is "Daniel" in the Headline, but David in the text.
