A. Doughty at her Trout home on Monday afternoon was the cause for profound regret among the citizens of this section, especially those who had known her throughout long and useful life of 58 years, all of which was spent in LaSalle Parish. Mrs. Doughty was born near Tullos in 1877 and early in life united with the Baptist Church, remaining a member the rest of her life. The direct cause of her death was given as pneumonia. Funeral services were held at the Midway Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, interment following in the Nolley Memorial Cemetery in Jena, with Rev. J. J. Albritton, her pastor, officiating. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Miss Vera Doughty and Mrs. Clarence Mobley; three sons, Claude, Beauregard, and Ernest; one sister, Mrs. W. C. McCartney and one brother, W. G. Holloway, member of the LaSalle Parish Police Jury of Tullos.
