Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. Mickey Bounds and Rev. Willie Norris, officiating. Interment followed in Dayton Cemetery of Trout with arrangements by Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena. Survivors include one son, Rev. John Lee Dayton of Trout, four brothers, T. A. Lanier and E. A. Lanier, both of Manifest; S. E. Lanier of Harrisonburg; and T. S. Lanier of Jena; two sisters, Mrs. Essie Oliphant of Monroe and Mrs. Delta Lanier of Jonesville; and one granddaughter.
