Services were held at Nolley Memorial Methodist Church in Jena at 10 a.m., with the Rev. W. O. Lynch and the Rev. Baker Boddie conducting the final rites. Interment followed in the Forsythe Cemetery of Jena under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Home for Funerals. Mrs. Dawson, a member of the Methodist Church is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Walker of Jena, and Mrs. Mary Peyton of California; a brother, Allen King of Jena, and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers named by the family were Dr. J. A. Coleman, Oscar Thompson, G. R. Russell, Sim Butler, Howard Davis, H. B. Dodson, S. S. Andrews, P. S. Gaharan, Jr., O. J. Evans, Al M. Cobb, A. I. Breithaupt, J. H. Russell, Clyde Russell, E. E. Jones, John W. Hailey, and W. H. Baker. Active pallbearers were Edgar Coleman, Murl Windham, Tom Burch, Barney Basham, Jack Honeycutt, and Ellis Lawrence.
