Davis, formerly of Summerville, died at Clinton, Miss., Tuesday, February 24, after an illness of four months. Death, which as due to a paralytic stroke, occurred at 9 p.m. Mrs. Davis was born at Caceyville, Miss., in 1854. In 1879, she was married to Daniel Webster Davis. She was a member of the Wallace Ridge Baptist Church, and the funeral services were conducted by Rev. T. J. Ratcliff, pastor of this church. Funeral services and interment were at Harrisonburg. Surviving are Mr. Davis and six children as follows: Bruce Davis, Luther G. Davis, and Wence Davis, sons; Mrs. Ida Wilson, Mrs. Cattie McMillan and Miss Mamie Davis.
