"Lum" Davis, 54, of Trout injured in an automobile accident last week died today at approximately 4 p.m. in an Alexandria hospital. Davis was hit by an automobile when the driver, "Sonny" Gammill of Tullos, lost control of the car in an attempt to avoid a cow. Gammill applied his brakes suddenly as the cow jumped into his path. The car then skidded out of control on the rain slickened surface of the road. Davis was a resident of near Trout and had been employed at the Denton Lumber company for the past two years.
