Headline:  Area Deaths

Olney Preston "Sonny" Ezell, Jr., 67, of Valdez, Alaska, died at 3 a.m., July 
22, 1999, in Valdez.

He was retired and was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served four years 
including a tour of duty in Korea during the Korean Conflict.  

He was a graduate of Trout-Goodpine High School.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 1999.  Survivors 
include his wife, Barbara McNelly Ezell of Valdez; two daughters, Angie 
Ayotte of Valdez and Mary Lee of Anchorage; two sons, Ben Ezell of Jena and 
Paul Ezell of Valdez; his mother, Lois Ezell Russell of Trout; one brother, 
Jack Ezell of Trout; one sister, Nell Ezell Poston of Sunnyvale, Calif.; and 
eight grandchildren.
