Sub-Headline:  John Monroe Ezell

John Monroe Ezell, 75 years of age, well known farmer of LaSalle Parish, and 
resident of Jena for 71 years, died at the Huey P. Long Hospital in 
Pineville, April 11 at 2 p.m. of heart disease.

The deceased was born in Jackson Parish, and was married to Miss Mamie Heard, 
deceased, in 1890.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jena.

Funeral services were held April 12 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Lee Brooks of 
Rhinehart officiating.  Interment was made at the Nolly Memorial Cemetery in 
Jena under the direction of Kinner and Stevens.

Surviving are:  four daughters, Mrs. W. L. Garrett of DeRidder, Mrs. D. D. 
Shaw of Jena, Mrs. J. D. O'Quinn of Texas City, Texas, and Mrs. S. D. Hanes 
of Jena.
