All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Thursday, Jan. 19, 1950 Funeral Services For Mrs. Docia Flowers Held in olla, Jan. 17 Funeral services for Mrs. Docia Mae Flowers, 65, of Olla, who died on Monday, Jan. 11, at the Hardtner Memorial Clinic in Urania, were held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Olla Methodist church. The Rev. Moreland conducted the services. Her death was attributed to a heart ailment. Interment was a t the Olla cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by Kinner and Stevens funeral home, Jena. Mrs. Flowers was born in Minden on May 2, 1884, and was maried in 1908, in Olla to Mr. Y.W. Flowers. Mrs. Flowers is survived by her husband, one son, Doyle Flowers, Olla; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth McCartney, Olla; one brother, W.D. Mims, Winnsboro; one sister, June Mims Epps; and two grandchildren.
